Hi, I’m Chel, the founder of Hairdonism.
My mission is to empower people to feel confident and to be able to glow from the inside.
I’ve had Alopecia for 30 years. I used to hide away from the world and use products to make myself feel better. A wig as a mask to hide under because I wasn’t happy in my own skin. What I struggled with most which I had to learn the hard way was no matter what happens to you or what card you are dealt, you must learn to love yourself. The self love journey is not an easy one but it’s your responsibility and it’s something you can’t avoid. I’m sure many of us have tried to sweep this under the rug but it will always come back to bite you back in your weakest most vulnerable moments.
I began this beauty business because once I accepted my own self I discovered the immense joy in products, wigs and lashes as accessories instead of necessities. One of the biggest realisation that I had once I came out publicly about my Alopecia six years ago was just how fun it really is being able to switch up my looks. To express myself in any way I wished! We have this birth right!
My purpose is to help people feel confident and comfortable, understood
and seen.
